             2007 - ongoing   Sentient Landscapes

Sentient landscapes pursue my interest in nature painting to a new level. These paintings often point to realities and truths that are present but not always sensed. Much of what is happening around us is beyond our capabilities or habits to see. Habits such as when we are so in our thoughts that we cannot see what is around us. Capabilities such as the inability of our eyes to see the billions of galaxies that swirl around us in space or the trillions of atoms that spin within our bodies. These paintings attempt to bring both the seen and bits of the unseen to our perception. The paintings are 16” x 20” and 24” X 36.”
