1995 Elders of the Faiths

This project was done in collaboration with the South Dakota Peace and Justice Center, who assisted in selection of the 15 individuals of the various religions found in the project. I traveled throughout the state interviewing and photographing the participants. The 2’ X 2’ portraits were then produced in my studio. The written versions of the interviews, filled with wisdom and warmth, were produced from tape recording and notes and reviewed by the elders.
